Caring Canadians, Involved Canadians

Statistics Canada´s third study on volunteering and donating found that almost 12 million Canadians or 45% of the population aged 15 and older volunteered during the year 2004. Their contributions totaled almost 2 billion hours, an amount equivalent to 1 million full-time jobs.
