SARSCENE 2007, the sixteenth annual search and rescue conference, will be held in Victoria, British Columbia, October 17-20, 2007. The conference is organized by the National Search and Rescue Secretariat, and co-hosted by the British Columbia Provincial Emergency Program with the assistance of the British Columbia Search and Rescue Association.
As Canada´s leading national forum on search and rescue, SARSCENE is a unique opportunity for members of the SAR community to come together and share their expertise. SARSCENE includes four days of activities such as: presentations, demonstrations, a tradeshow, SAR games, training sessions and an awards banquet.
Over 650 delegates from air, land and marine organizations across Canada, and around the world attended last years´ conference. Highlighted this year will be demonstrations on search and rescue in Western Canada, and presentation themes will include: SAR partnerships; SAR technologies and techniques; equipment interoperability; and marine, air and ground SAR cooperation.
