"Fire on Board" a short documentary produced by the CCGA National Office in collaboration with CCGA-Maritimes has won a Platinum MarCom Award, an Aegis Finalist Award, a DV Award and a Platinum Ava Award.
"Man Overboard" another short documentary produced by the CCGA National Office in collaboration with CCGA-Newfoundland and Labrador has won a Gold Marcom Award and a Gold Ava Award.
The MarCom Competition recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals. There were almost 5,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries in the 2010 competition. About 15% of the entries won the Platinum Award, the organization´s top honour.
Now in its 21st year, the Aegis Awards has established itself as a leading competition for professional video and film makers. The mission of the Aegis Awards competition is to provide a forum to recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing some of the most effective video/film productions being produced today.
The DV Awards is a new international competition celebrating outstanding creative and technical achievements in the emerging world of digital video production. All works are graded on various items including creativity, technical merit and execution of ideas. Entries are judged on their own merits within the standards of their respective category.
The Ava International Awards competition recognizes outstanding achievement by creative professionals involved in the concept, writing, direction, shooting, and editing of audio-visual materials and programs. There were over 1,700 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries in the 2010 competition. About 12% of the entries won the Platinum Award, the organization´s top honour.
