The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary Maritimes (CCGA-M) is a non-profit organization and a registered charity providing maritime assistance to the Canadian Coast Guard and the National Defence with search and rescue and safe boating programs throughout New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Iles de la Madeleine.
A few interesting facts
Volunteers also assist with the annual lobster fishing openings in Lobster Fishing Areas (LFAs) 33 & 34
90% of volunteers are commercial fishers across New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and Iles de la Madeleine
721 volunteers and 380 participating vessels.
